The Department of General Chemistry teaches both Ukrainian and foreign students. Teaching courses are conducted in three languages: Ukrainian, Russian and English. At the General Chemistry Department highly qualified teachers provide a high level of teaching education for students of:

Educational work is carried out in accordance to current curriculum and programs of SHEI "Ternopil State Medical University by I.Horbachevsky of Ministry of Health of Ukraine". For a better mastery of practical skills the lines of practical skills – matricules are used. It helps to improve the skills of writing of prescriptions for a physician or a pharmacist. Teachers systematically use and discuss test questions KROK-1 during practical classes. Teachers are involved in the preparation and publication of collections of these tests.

In the educational process there is widely used the remote test control knowledge system "Moodle", which is effectively used to determine the initial level of knowledge on all the topics of the subject.
